The first step is to sketch out the basic shape of Bulbasaur, which is a circle for the head and an oval for the body. Make sure the circle is bigger than the oval since the head is larger than the body.

Once you have the basic shape down, it’s time to add details. Sketch Bulbasaur's eyes, which are ovals with a black circle for the pupil and a smaller white circle to add reflection.

Using a black pen or marker, trace over your pencil sketch. Make sure to darken the lines of the petals and add the outlines for the toes and claws.

Start by coloring the main body green, the petals pink and the claws dark brown. Color the eyes and nostrils black and give your drawing a bit of color by adding some shadows under the bulbasaur and the petals.
